A small store located across from Burks' Garage at the bottom of the hill just before the bridge at the intersection of Rt. 501 and Rt. 122. The Pop Shop was one of the places where men and boys gathered to play checkers and "shoot the breeze." The shop sold soft drinks, ice cream, candy, cigarettes, etc. Picture is from early 1980's.   There was a canal that ran under the shop. The water in the canal ran to Grist Mill and powered the watermill.
